Rice Husk

Rice Husk

Rice husk is considered to be one of the most promising and environmentally friendly sources for the production of silicon-based material. It is an outer shell that covers the paddy grain and accounts for approximately 20% of its weight. In the process of rice milling, it is removed. Originally, Rice husks were found from Gujarat along the Bhogva river right from the beginning of the Indus valley civilization. As a matter of fact, India alone has produced around 31 million tons of rice husks in 2014. One of the most important usages of it is in the formation of Rice bran oil which is used for treating diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, alcoholism, and for improvising the immune system. As it is renewable, it won’t wear down and is incredibly resilient. Moreover, it’s cheaper than wood chips and completely termite resistant.
